Peruvian demand for palm oil is set to reach 89 thousand metric tons by 2026, a slight decrease from 94 thousand metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, there has been no change in demand. Peru ranked 30th in 2021, while Kenya was ahead with 94 thousand metric tons. India, Indonesia, and Nigeria were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Production of Peruvian palm oil is also on the rise, set to reach 250,440 metric tons in 2026, a 3.1% increase from 2021. Since 1980, Peruvian supply has grown by 6% year-on-year. Peru ranked 16th in 2021, with China in first place at 208,500 metric tons. Malaysia, Thailand and Colombia were 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
