Taiwan's consumption of palm oil is expected to drop by 0.9% annually over the next five years, to 83.6 thousand metric tons by 2026. This follows a 0.8% decline since 2017. In 2021, Taiwan was ranked 31st in the world for palm oil consumption, behind Peru at 88 thousand metric tons. India, Indonesia, and Nigeria ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively.
