Senegalese palm oil consumption is set to exceed 93,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country consumed 88,000 metric tons, a 1% increase from the year prior. Since 2017, demand has jumped 2.4% year on year. Taiwan topped the 2021 ranking with 88,000 metric tons, while India, Indonesia, and Nigeria came in second, third, and fourth, respectively. Senegalese palm oil production is expected to hit 19,440 metric tons by 2026. The country produced 17,350 metric tons in 2021, a 1.9% year-on-year increase since 1966. In 2021, Burundi ranked ahead with 17,350 metric tons, while Malaysia, Thailand, and Colombia came in second, third, and fourth, respectively.
