South African palm oil consumption is projected to reach around 58 thousand metric tons by 2026. This is a slight 0.3% increase compared to 2021, when 57 thousand metric tons were consumed. Since 2017, South African demand has remained steady, placing the country at 39th in the 2021 rankings. Liberia came in ahead with 57 thousand metric tons. India, Indonesia and Nigeria took the top three spots, in that order.
