Benin is set to see a 2% annual increase in palm oil consumption over the next five years, reaching 61,900 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 41st in terms of palm oil consumption, just behind Niger with 55,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia and Nigeria ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Benin is set to see a 2.3% annual increase in palm oil production over the next five years, reaching 92,790 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 23rd in terms of palm oil production, just behind the Democratic Republic of the Congo with 81,190 metric tons. Malaysia, Thailand and Colombia ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
