Liberian palm oil consumption is expected to reach 56,000 metric tons by 2026, down slightly from 57,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, demand has remained steady, placing the country at 39th in the world rankings in 2021, just behind Ghana’s 57,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia and Nigeria followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Liberian palm oil production is estimated to reach 43,000 metric tons by 2026, up slightly from the 42,700 metric tons reported in 2021. Since 1966, supply has increased by 0.2 percent year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 27th, just behind Angola’s 42,700 metric tons. Malaysia, Thailand and Colombia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
