Sri Lanka's palm oil consumption is expected to reach around 34,400 metric tons by 2026. This is a 1.7% annual growth rate since 2021, when the country consumed 31,000 metric tons. This is a slight acceleration from 2017, when the growth rate was 1.1%. In 2021, Sri Lanka was the 53rd largest consumer of palm oil, with France overtaking them at 31,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia and Nigeria were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
