In 2018, Guyana consumed 1,000 metric tons of coconut oil. This marked a slight increase from the previous year when consumption totalled 1,000 metric tons. El Salvador overtook Guyana, consuming 1,000 metric tons. China, the Philippines and Vietnam were the top three coconut oil consumers, consuming 2,000, 1,400 and 1,100 metric tons respectively.
