Chinese demand for coconut oil is expected to reach 152,000 metric tons by 2026. This marks a slight increase of 0.2% from the 150,000 metric tons consumed in 2021. In comparison, Chinese demand for coconut oil has slowly declined since 2017, with a drop of 0.7% year-on-year. India outstripped China in 2021, consuming 150,000 metric tons of coconut oil. China, the Philippines and Vietnam were the next largest consumers, ranking second, third and fourth respectively.
