Mozambique's cotton import is expected to reach $10.1 million by 2026. The demand for the commodity has risen by 1.8% year-on-year since 2005. Mozambique's cotton production, however, is expected to decrease by an average of 2.3% year-on-year to reach $36.7 million by 2026, down from $42.2 million in 2021. Since 1966, the supply of cotton has been decreasing by 2.2% year-on-year, with Bolivia overtaking Mozambique in 2021. China, the United States and Pakistan are respectively the top three cotton producers in the world.
