Greek cotton imports are set to reach around $55 million by 2026, down 4.6% from 2021. This is a continuation of a downward trend since 1993, when imports fell by 0.7% year on year. Greece's cotton production is expected to reach around $450 million by 2026, a growth of 0.2% from 2021. This is similar to the 0.2% growth the country has seen since 1966. In 2021, Greece was the tenth largest cotton producer in the world, with Mexico overtaking it with $445 million. China, the United States and Pakistan were the second, third and fourth largest cotton producers respectively.
