Azerbaijan is set to see cotton imports increase to $8.2 million by 2026, with an average growth rate of 3.6% year-on-year. Since 2001, demand has risen by 6.8% annually. Supply of cotton production reached $5.99 million in 2021, down 24.3% on the year before. Since 1997, there has been a 20.9% decrease annually. This placed Azerbaijan 49th in the world cotton production rankings, with the Central African Republic overtaking them with $5.99 million. Meanwhile, China, the US and Pakistan held the top three spots in the ranking.
