Cotton production in Iraq is set to reach $20 billion per year by 2026. This is a 0.5% increase from the current production of $19.5 billion in 2021. Since 1966, production has grown at a rate of 0.7% each year. Iraq is currently ranked 40th in the world for cotton production, just behind North Korea. China, the United States and Pakistan follow at numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
