South Africa's silver imports are expected to reach $4.7 million by 2026, growing on average by 2.9% year on year from $4 million in 2021. This was revealed by a report that showed the country was ranked 35th in the world in 2021, when Malaysia topped the list with $4 million imports. The US, the UK and Japan followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. Meanwhile, South African silver exports rose 34.3% in 2018 to 31,600 kilograms, up from 23,530 kilograms in 2017. Since 2005, the country's silver supply has increased an impressive 112.3% year on year.
