New Zealand's silver imports are on track to drop by 39% each year on average over the coming years, reaching a total of $54,200 in 2026. This is down from $753,160 in 2021, when the country was ranked 51st in the world. The Dominican Republic moved up to take its place. The US, UK and Japan topped the rankings, respectively. In 2018, New Zealand's silver exports totalled 1,200 kilograms, a dramatic 81.2% decrease from 6,360 kilograms in 2017. Since 2005, the country's supply of silver has dropped by a total of 40.5% year-on-year.
