In 2021, Spain ranked 16th in the world for imports, lower than Austria, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. Since 1994, Spanish demand for silver has decreased by 11.4% each year. In 2018, the country exported 38,730 kilograms of silver, down 17.6% from the previous year and 35.9% since 2005.
