Austrian silver imports dropped 9.3% in 2021, from $25.5 million to $23.1 million, according to figures released this week. Since 1999, the country has seen a 17.8% decline in demand. Belgium overtook Austria in the rankings, coming in at 18th place, while the United States, United Kingdom and Japan held the top three spots. Austrian silver exports are expected to decrease by 23.8% on average in the next five years, from 15,710 kilograms in 2021 to 3,500 kilograms in 2026. Since 2005, the country has seen a 20.3% drop in supply.
