Bulgaria's imports of palladium rose 3.1% in 2021, reaching 0.28 kilograms. This is up from 0.27 kilograms in 2020, but still down 22.6% year-on-year since 2019. Hungary overtook Bulgaria in 2021, with 0.28 kilograms. The United States, Japan and the United Kingdom were the top three palladium importers, in that order. Exports of palladium from Bulgaria fell sharply in 2021, to 0.15 kilograms from 0.3 kilograms in 2020, a drop of 50.8%. Since 2012, Bulgarian supply has decreased by 40.7%. Once again, Hungary overtook Bulgaria, with 0.28 kilograms, while the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom ranked first, second and third respectively.
