India is set to witness a rise in cobalt imports over the next five years, with figures estimated to reach 795,120 kilograms by 2026. This is a 1.2% increase from the 741,480 kilograms recorded in 2021. Since 1993, Indian demand has decreased by 1% year on year. In 2021, Italy held the highest cobalt imports with 741,480 kilograms, followed by Belgium, the United States and Japan. On the other hand, Indian cobalt exports are projected to fall by 3.8% year on year, reaching 60,960 kilograms by 2026. This is compared to 76,580 kilograms in 2021. From 1993, Indian supply has seen a positive 8.2% year on year growth. In 2021, Finland held the highest cobalt exports with 76,580 kilograms, followed by the United States, Russia and China.
