Japanese imports of titanium fell 8.3% in 2021 compared to the previous year, down to $8.5 million. This is 15.4% lower than the amount imported in 1993. Ireland topped the import rankings, with France, the UK and Italy coming in at second, third and fourth, respectively. Exports of titanium from Japan are expected to reach 52 million kilograms by 2026. This is 3.1% higher than the amount exported in 2021, and 12% higher than the amount exported in 1993. The US, Kazakhstan and Germany were the top three export destinations in 2021.
