Greek crude oil demand totalled 2,010 thousand metric tons in January 2022, down 0.9% from 1,980 thousand metric tons in December 2021. Since January 2007, demand has decreased by 0.1% year on year. Greek crude oil production is forecast to reach 123,060 tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026, a decrease of 0.2% on the 2021 figure of 122,570 tonnes. Since 1986, supply has decreased by an average rate of 5.2% year on year. In 2021, Greece ranked 73rd, behind Israel in 72nd place with 122,570 tonnes of oil equivalent. Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq respectively ranked second, third and fourth.
