Slovak crude oil demand came in at 480,000 metric tons in January 2022, up 1.5% from 498,000 metric tons in December 2021. Over the past fifteen years, demand has decreased by 1.8%. Slovak crude oil production was 6.19 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent in 2017, down 25% from 8.26 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent in 2016. Since 1976, production has decreased by 10.6%. The country ranked 81st in 2017, with Morocco taking the top spot. Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Iraq followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
