Czech crude oil demand is expected to reach around 620,000 metric tons in January 2022. This is up 18% on the 617,000 metric tons recorded in December 2021. Since 2007, demand has fallen by a small amount (0.1%) on a year-on-year basis. Czech oil production is projected to reach 47,370 tonnes of oil equivalent in 2026. This is down 8.9% on the 79,590 tonnes of oil equivalent recorded in 2021. On average, production has declined 7.7% year-on-year since 1976. In 2021, the country ranked 74th in the world, with Spain in 79th place. Saudi Arabia, the United States, and Iraq were 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the ranking respectively.
