Pakistan's crude oil production is forecast to reach 4.2 million tonnes of oil equivalent by 2026. This is a modest 0.5% increase from 2021, when the country produced 3.98 million tonnes of oil equivalent. Since 1976, Pakistan's crude oil production has decreased by an average of 0.9% each year. In 2021, it ranked 40th in the world, just behind Brunei's 3.98 million tonnes of oil equivalent. The top three producers were Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq.
