This is an increase of 0.5% annually, on average, since 1976 when production was 0.7% lower than the previous year. In 2021, Oman was ranked 18th in the world, with 48,650 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent. Norway took the lead, with Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq taking second, third and fourth place, respectively.
