Sri Lanka’s candy exports dropped 13.5% in 2021, down to 14,400 kilograms from 16,640 kilograms in 2020. This marks a 24.9% decrease since 1999. Albania outstripped Sri Lanka, coming in at 106 in the rankings with 14,400 kilograms. China, Mexico, and Belgium respectively placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Sri Lanka’s candy imports are predicted to fall 5.3% year-on-year by 2026, reaching an estimated 380,390 kilograms. This would be a 3.4% rise since 1999. Brunei surpassed Sri Lanka in 2021, coming in at 128 in the rankings with 521,130 kilograms. The United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands respectively placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
