Ecuador's import and export of dried fruit is expected to increase over the next five years. In 2021, imports were valued at $2.4 million and exports were valued at $1.5 million. These figures are projected to grow at an average rate of 1.9% and 1.2% respectively by 2026. Since 1996, Ecuador has seen an 11.3% annual increase in imports, but a 4.2% decrease in exports. In 2021, Lebanon overtook Ecuador to become the top importer of dried fruit, with Germany, the United Kingdom and China respectively coming in at numbers 2, 3 and 4. For exports, Saudi Arabia overtook Ecuador, with Germany, the United States and Chile respectively coming in at numbers 2, 3 and 4.
