Latvia is set to be a major player in the dried fruit market. The import of dried fruit is estimated to reach $7.8 million by 2026, growing at a rate of 1.7% year on year. The country was ranked 48th in 2021, with Slovenia one spot ahead at $6.9 million. Germany, the United Kingdom and China were the top three countries in the ranking. Latvia’s export of dried fruit is also on the rise, reaching $3.3 million by 2026, with a yearly average growth rate of 2.7%. In 2021, the country was in 45th place, with Croatia overtaking it with $2.8 million. Germany, the United States and Chile followed as the next three countries in the ranking.
