Macedonian demand for dried fruit is expected to reach around $1.3 million by 2026, growing at a rate of 2% annually. This is a notable increase since 1999, when demand was 5.8% higher year-on-year. In 2021, the country ranked 82nd in the world for demand, with Moldova ahead at $1.1 million. Germany, the UK and China were respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. At the same time, exports of Macedonian dried fruit are forecast to drop to $162,390 by 2026, with a decline of 5.8% annually. This marks a decrease since 1999, when supply was 5.1% higher year-on-year. In 2021, the country was 75th in the world for exports, with Luxembourg overtaking at $229,680. Germany, the US and Chile respectively were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
