Slovene imports and exports of dried fruit are on the rise. In 2021, imports totaled $7.2 million (a 1.5% year-on-year average increase since 1999) and put the country in 47th place. Croatia overtook Slovenia at $7.2 million. Germany, the UK and China ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Exports of dried fruit from Slovenia are also increasing. In 2021, exports totaled $3.2 million (a 3.4% year-on-year average rate of increase since 1999), putting the country in 41st place. Belarus overtook Slovenia at $3.2 million. Germany, the US and Chile ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Looking ahead, Slovenia’s dried fruit imports and exports are expected to reach $8 million and $4 million respectively by 2026.
