Malawian edible oils production is projected to drop by 1.4% on average from 2021 to 2026, from 58 thousand metric tons to 53.39 thousand metric tons. This decrease follows a 1.7% annual decline since 2017. Malawi was ranked 95th in 2021, behind Bosnia and Herzegovina with 58 thousand metric tons. China, Malaysia and the United States were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Malawian edible oils consumption is expected to increase by 1% year on year from 2021 to 2026, from 61 thousand metric tons to 64 thousand metric tons. This marks a 1.7% increase since 2017. Malawi was ranked 96th in 2021, behind Ireland with 61 thousand metric tons. China, the United States and Brazil were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
