Production of edible oils in Thailand is set to reach 4 million metric tons by 2026, up from 3.7 million metric tons in 2021. This equates to a 1.7% annual growth rate since 2017. Thailand was ranked 12th in 2021, overtaken by Germany at 3.7 million metric tons. China, Malaysia and the US respectively were the top three in this ranking. Consumption of edible oils in Thailand is expected to reach 700,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 657,000 metric tons in 2021. This equates to a 1% annual growth rate since 2017. Thailand was ranked 25th in 2021, overtaken by Saudi Arabia at 657,000 metric tons. China, the US and Brazil respectively were the top three in this ranking.
