Saudi Arabia led the consumption ranking in 2021 with 86,000 metric tons, followed by Russia, Spain and Argentina. Meanwhile, Brazil is expected to produce 147,900 metric tons of sunflower oil by 2026, a 3.4% increase from 120,830 metric tons in 2021. Since 1982, production has increased by 32.3% year on year. In 2021, Italy was the leader in production, followed by Russia, Argentina and Hungary.
