In 2021, the country's consumption stood at 18,000 metric tons, a 1.8% year-on-year decrease compared to 2017. Colombia ranked 58th in 2021, with Mozambique overtaking it at 18,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain, and Argentina respectively ranked second, third, and fourth. Meanwhile, Colombia's sunflower oil production is projected to grow 3.2% year on year, reaching 57,180 metric tons in 2026. Since 1992, the country's supply has grown 3.7% annually. In 2021, Colombia was ranked 29th, with Bolivia taking the lead at 47,330 metric tons. Russia, Argentina, and Hungary followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
