Consumption of Chilean sunflower oil is expected to reach 27,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.4% each year, on average, since 2017. In 2021, Chile was ranked 42nd in the world for consumption of sunflower oil, with Zimbabwe coming in at number one with 26 thousand metric tons. Russia, Spain and Argentina were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, production of Chilean sunflower oil is set to reach 1,470 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 0.3% on a year-on-year basis since 1966. In 2021, Chile was ranked 65th in the world for sunflower oil production, with Kenya coming in at number one with 1,450 metric tons. Russia, Argentina and Hungary were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
