Zimbabwe's sunflower oil consumption is set to drop to 21,000 metric tons by 2026, down 4.2% a year on average since 2017. In 2021, the country came in 41st place, overtaken by Afghanistan's 27,000 metric tons. Russia, Spain and Argentina followed as the top three. Production of sunflower oil in Zimbabwe also fell 18.3% to 858 metric tons in 2021, compared to 1,050 metric tons in 2020. This is a 9.3% drop since 1966. Zimbabwe ranked 66th in 2021, overtaken by Chile's 858 metric tons. Russia, Argentina and Hungary rounded out the top four.
