In 2021, Greece ranked 29th in the world, while Algeria was ahead with 49 thousand metric tons. Russia, Spain and Argentina ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, production of Greek sunflower oil is expected to reach 60,760 metric tons by 2026, representing an increase of 1.4% year on year. Since 1966, production has grown by 4.5% year on year. In 2021, Greece ranked 27th in the world, with Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead at 55,930 metric tons. Russia, Argentina and Hungary followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
