Spice consumption in Zimbabwe is set to reach 600 metric tons by 2026, down 11.4% annually on average since 2021. In 2017, demand dropped by 20.6%. In 2021, Zimbabwe was ranked 97th, with Barbados in the lead at 1,000 metric tons. Bangladesh, Indonesia, and China were the next three countries. Zimbabwean spice production was 3,000 metric tons in 2018, compared to 3,000 metric tons the previous year. The country was ranked 64th in 2018, with Rwanda surpassing them at 3,000 metric tons. China, Nigeria, and Indonesia were the next three countries.
