Since 2019, Iraq has witnessed a significant rise in spice demand, with a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. In 2023, Iraq ranked 40th in global spice consumption. Mali edged ahead with the same consumption level of 19,000 metric tons. Leading the rankings were Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Thailand, securing the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
