Since 1966, Guatemala's fruit supply has experienced a steady increase, averaging a 2.8% growth year on year. In 2023, the country ranked 22nd globally in fruit production. Costa Rica edged ahead of Guatemala in the same year, also producing around 7.6 million metric tons. Leading the global rankings were India, Brazil, and Mexico, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
