Slovak pear production plummeted by 17.5% in 2021, from 652 metric tons in 2020 to just 538 metric tons. This marks the largest decrease in production since 1998, when the country began tracking production. Slovakia placed 76th in the world ranking of pear production, while Yemen came in ahead with 538 metric tons. The United States, Argentina and Italy rounded out the top four, respectively.
