Argentina is projected to be the eighth-largest consumer of grapefruit in the world for the next five years. Consumption of the citrus fruit is forecast to drop to 77,000 metric tons by 2026 from 90,000 metric tons in 2021. This is a 2.7% decrease on average each year since 2017. Russia is expected to overtake Argentina in the coming year, consuming 90,000 metric tons. Vietnam, the United States and Mexico are anticipated to be the second, third and fourth largest consumers, respectively.
