This marks a rise from around 174,000 metric tons in 2023, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 1%. Since 2019, the supply of vegetables in El Salvador has shown a consistent upward trend, increasing by 2.7% year on year. In the global ranking, El Salvador held the 115th position in 2023, just behind Norway, which also produced 174,000 metric tons. Topping the list, India, the United States, and Iran ranked second, third, and fourth respectively in vegetable production for the same year.
