Egyptian pea consumption is projected to remain at 11,000 metric tons through 2026, with no change on average since 2017. The country ranked 40th in 2021, with Switzerland taking the lead at the same amount. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh came in at second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively. Production of Egyptian peas is estimated to drop to 187,400 metric tons by 2026, down 4.7% year-on-year on average since 1966. This marks a decrease of 10.7% in Egyptian supply over the last five years.
