Peruvian consumption of peas is expected to decline slightly by 2026. In 2021, Peru was in the ninth place in the world ranking with 74 thousand metric tons, while Colombia was in the first place. The top three producers in 2021 were China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh. Peruvian Pea Production is also forecasted to increase over the next five years. It is expected to reach 55,600 metric tons in 2026, growing at an average annual rate of 0.7%. Since 1966, production has been increasing at a rate of 1.3% each year.
