Last year, it was estimated at 7 thousand metric tons, making the Republic of the Congo the number one consumer, ahead of China, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh. Since 2017, Senegalese demand has been stable and is forecast to stay that way until 2026. Last year, the country ranked number 51 in the pea consumption ranking.
