Tunisia is expected to consume 4,000 metric tons of peas by 2026, down 4.4% from the current 5,000 metric tons. Since 2017, Tunisian demand has remained steady. Portugal currently consumes the most peas, at 5,000 metric tons in 2021, while China, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh come in at second, third, and fourth place respectively. Tunisian production of peas is projected to reach 4,940 metric tons by 2026, down 1.7% from the 2021 level of 5,460 metric tons. Since 1986, Tunisian production has increased 0.6% year on year.
