Demand for potatoes in Uganda is expected to decrease by 1.3% over the next five years, reaching 122,000 metric tons by 2026. This follows a decrease of 1% year on year since 2017. In 2021, Uganda was ranked 95th in terms of demand, being overtaken by Mongolia at 131,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Russia were the top three countries ranked in terms of demand. Supply of potatoes in Uganda is expected to decrease by 4.2% over the next five years, reaching 126,030 metric tons by 2026. This follows a decrease of 1.2% year on year since 1966. In 2021, Uganda was placed 92nd in terms of supply, falling behind Jordan at 161,520 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine made up the top three countries ranked in terms of supply.
