Cameroonian demand for potatoes is expected to reach 170,400 metric tons by 2026. This would be an increase of 0.7% from 2021, when it stood at 163,000 metric tons. Compared to 2017, the demand has risen 0.6% year on year. Cameroon ranked 85th in 2021, behind Turkmenistan, which had 163,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Russia were the top three countries in terms of consumption. Production of potatoes in Cameroon is set to reach 434,010 metric tons by 2026, representing a 2.5% increase year on year. This would be a slight decrease from 1966, when it was down by 0.1% year on year. The country ranked 72nd in 2021, behind Libya, which had 374,610 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine were the top three countries in terms of production.
