Irish demand for bottled water is expected to grow slightly over the next five years. In 2021, the import of bottled water was estimated at around $25 million and is projected to reach $25.9 million by 2026. The annual growth rate is expected to be 0.7%. Since 1997, the demand for bottled water in Ireland has grown by an average of 1.2% per year. At the same time, Irish exports of bottled water are set to decline at an average rate of 1.4% per year over the next five years. In 2021, the country exported around $100 million worth of bottled water, but this is expected to fall to $92 million by 2026. Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland ranked second, third and fourth respectively in 2021 in terms of Irish bottled water exports. Portugal overtook Ireland that year, exporting $99.7 million worth of bottled water. Since 1997, Irish supply of bottled water has declined by an average of 7.1% per year.
